Disha, a Centre for Special Education, established in 1995, is devoted to the cause of mentally challenged children, under Disha Foundation of BVK Group . Disha was then the first and only school in Rajasthan state for mentally challenged children. The NGO was under patronage of Late. HH Maharani Gayathri Devi of Jaipur since inception and is rated amongst the Top 10 Institution in India for Social volunteering by ‘Conde Nast’ 2017. The NGO ‘ Disha Foundation’ is in receipt of empanelment with TATA CSR, ONGC amongst a few intuitions and is rated for Transparency by many international institutions. Padamshree Dr. Ashok Panagariya is the Chairperson of this Institution. Disha has been accredited by 'Credibility Alliance' , 'Give India' & 'CAF India'. It is also registered with 'Rehabilitation council of India' ,'National institute of open schooling' , 'The National Trust (Govt of India)' , 'University of Rajasthan'. Centre for Work Training (Children are trained for self employment opportunities) 4. Centre for Home Management (Parents are trained for living with special children) 5. Centre for Physiotherapy(Special children are trained for motor skills) 6. Centre for Research & Documentation. (Research studies) 7. Centre for B.Ed in Special Education (Intellectual Disability) 8.
