FORCE project

The FORCE project, financed by AFD and implemented by Expertise France, aims to facilitate the preparation and implementation of reforms of the public finance management system in the UEMOA area, Guinea and Mauritania. The aim is to respond appropriately to requests for technical support from States in the area of economic and financial governance through flexible and targeted expertise. The mechanism consists of setting up a pool of experts based in Abidjan, civil servants seconded from the French and Burkina Faso Ministries of Finance with experience in public finance reforms and international cooperation. Each expert is specialized in a priority area of public finance: public accounting, budget management, tax management, customs management and public procurement. The responsiveness of the mechanism, the flexibility of the intervention modalities, the consideration of the needs, expectations and constraints of the public administration and the provision of high-level expertise are at the heart of the FORCE project.
