DisruPep S.L. was born in 2020 as a spanish biotech with technology for the development of peptide-based drugs. DisruPep is a spin-off Technology-Based Company of the Cajal Institute in Madrid within an important laboratory of neuroscience. Cajal Institute take part of the Spanish National Research Council (Spanish: Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, CSIC) is the largest public institution dedicated to research in Spain and the third largest in Europe. DisruPep was created with the purpose of developing and exploiting as a licensee a drug candidate as a therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD): the QBP1 peptide. As well as development of other drugs and products forming a company of high scientific and business interest. Working with optimism to improve the lives of people suffering from PTSD, Type 2 Diabetes, Parkinson's and ALS.
