Our hope for DisruptHR in RVA is the ripple effect of these moments to make work better for people in Richmond. Better for employees and leaders. Better for companies and their customers. Better for their families and friends! Everyone. Making work part of a life well-lived. DisruptHR was brought to Richmond in 2017 by a small band of determined, scrappy individuals who fell in love with the DisruptHR movement and the hopeful spirit it created. DisruptHR was founded in 2013 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is built on the belief that how we’ve approached people and talent in the past won’t be the best way to approach them in the future - and also with the idea that ALL business leaders (not just HR) need to take some risks, to stir the pot… in short, to DISRUPT in order to compete in the global marketplace. https://disrupthr.co/ DisruptHR is an information exchange designed to energize, inform and empower HR leaders, business professionals, and community leaders who are interested in disruptive ideas, and moving our collective thinking forward when it comes to talent in the workplace. DisruptHR events are organized by community volunteers, and held in cities throughout the world. These events are meant to shake things up, makes people think differently - and leave participants inspired with 10 - 14 speakers, 5 minutes each, and slides rotating every 15 seconds. Teach something - but make it quick! After a long hiatus, DisruptRVA has made a comeback post-pandemic to bring people together who have something to say about the world of work and its place in our lives. Join us as we continue the quest to improve the work-lives of Richmonders through this DISRUPT movement!
