About District Council Narowal

District Council Narowal is the legislative arm of the local government of District Narowal. The Council consists of 123 Members of of which 98 are elected through Union Councils and 25 are elected on special seats (reserved for Women, Minorities, Peasant/Farmers, Youth and Technocrat). The Chairman of the District Council is the executive head of the local government as well as the head of the District Council. The Chairman and two Vice Chairmen are elected by the members of the District Council from among their members. The term of the District Council is 5 years. The current Chairman is Ahmad Iqbal (PMLN) and Vice Chairmen are Shahzad Muneer (PMLN) and Mohammad Zarar (PMLN).
