Distributed Media Technologies Corp. (“Distro”) is redesigning and redefining the news industry to thrive in the 21st century. The company was founded in 2024 by Bradley Keoun, an electrical engineer by training who went on to a three-decade career as an award-winning journalist with CoinDesk, Bloomberg, TheStreet and the Chicago Tribune. The core mission is to build an on-chain news production and delivery platform, reinventing the business model to incorporate the features and functionality of integrated crypto micropayments while harnessing back-office productivity gains from AI. The design will allow anyone – call it a large, established, institutional news organization; an individual freelancer covering a pop-up city for a month; a music blogger; a high school math teacher keeping parents up-to-date on in-class developments – to easily spin up a news publication and connect with motivated readers, and in doing so offer a path for advertisers to reach highly curated audiences. Additional benefits from blockchain infrastructure could include operational resilience and censorship resistance.
