Divergent Talent Group Ltd is the UK's first (and only) talent management company representing neurodivergent actors and creatives, exclusively.
DTG was founded by Adam Welsh in 2021. Adam trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and worked as an actor for ten years in the West End, regionally and internationally. During that time, he co-founded multi-award winning theatre company Dead Centre, where he developed a love for producing original work. Subsequently, he worked as a freelance theatre director and acting tutor before finally moving into agenting.
“I never planned to be an agent. But when I was producing theatre, I found that I enjoyed connecting creative friends, negotiating contracts on their behalf, and got a genuine kick out of securing the best deal for them. Basically, I was an agent before I knew I was an agent, I just wasn't taking commission for it. When I was diagnosed with ADHD last year, I felt like my whole life suddenly made sense. After years of working as an actor and a creative myself, I wanted to do something address the issues I faced in the industry as someone who was not neurotypical. That's why I started Divergent Talent Group. Throughout my career, I have always been passionate about supporting, promoting and defending the interests of emerging talent, and I'm dedicated to supporting and enabling the best neurodivergent talent in the country to flourish."
