Through collective effort, we diversify the passages and stories used in our schools to reflect today’s evolving communities. Because when a child sees themselves in books, they feel seen, valued, and understood, creating empathy and compassion for one another. To improve reading, students need to read regularly, and students read more when the content is relevant to their lives.
