Diversify Work

Diversify Work is a professional services provider inspired by the research and ethos of the book Diversify, by broadcaster campaigner June Sarpong MBE. Diversify, is an intelligent and empowering call to arms that puts the spotlight on groups who are often marginalised in our society, including women, disenfranchised men, those living with disabilities, and the LGBTQ community. Diversify uncovers how a new approach to how we work, learn and live can help us all reach our maximum potential, help businesses improve their bottom line, lessen the pressure on the state, and solve some of the most stubborn challenges we face as a society. Drawing on new case studies from shared parental leave, to flexible teaching methods, to improving inclusion in the workplace and with never-before published research from Oxford University and The LSE, Diversify is a fierce and empowering guide to navigating a new way. And, alongside stellar research and inspiring stories are six simple and revolutionary exercises: the first steps on a journey to overcoming personal prejudice and reaping the huge rewards. Diversify argues the case for the social, moral and economic benefits of diversity whilst also exploring how limited we are by social division thus inspiring us to make a change with innovative tools such as the ISM Calculator. The ISM CALCULATOR: To tackle the issue of isms we need to fully understand and quantify the level to which individuals are affected and track changes in attitudes, this unconscious bias test allows individuals to do precisely that. see for themselves over time how their behaviour is affected by their isms and how close they are to conquering them. The questions were formulated in partnership with the research team at Nuffield College Oxford University. The aim of Diversify is to empower individuals, companies and organisations to make that journey through a process of self-reflection and practical behavioural change.
