Who are we?
Diversity in Diabetes (DiD) was founded in August 2020 by co-founders Quisha Umemba and Kacey Creel, the co-creators of the People of Color Living with Diabetes Summit. DiD exists to create awareness, provide education, and develop solutions that address the lack of diversity in diabetes care and management that lead to inequities in healthcare and poor health outcomes in individuals and communities of color.
