DKA is a small, but dynamic Architectural firm specialising in commercial, industrial & residential developments. Derek Kock started the firm in February 2004 and is still responsible for the executive duties. All staff members are registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession body as per statutory requirement in South Africa. We also make use of various outsourced Architects and Technologists on an ‘Ad Hoc’ basis (not listed above). Our company objectives: To provide a professional service to our clients that will meet the project budget & program. To design aesthetically interesting, but sustainable buildings. To design & manage projects in such a manner as to minimise harm to the environment & to encourage environmentally sustainable construction methods & materials. To maintain a well qualified & efficient staff compliment through the provision of good remuneration packages, pleasant & safe working conditions, recognition & leadership. Our Projects vary from R1m to R300m and include Public, Private, Commercial, Retail, Group Housing and individual Houses. Collectively, our experience exceeds 50 years in individual appointments to multi-disciplinary appointments with our associate disciplines and other related professionals.
