Java is an object-oriented programming language that is platform independent it is the #1 programming languages from years. It was originally developed by James Gosling at Sun Microsystems in the year 1995, It was initially called as “oak” which is named after oak tree which stood outside Goslings office later it went by the name called Green hence it was named as JAVA. It follows a principle called “WORA” which means Write Once, Run Anywhere. The primary goals of java are “simple, object oriented, robust, secure and high performance”. In 1998 Java’s speed of execution was increased with the use of Just-in-compilation. The design goal of Java is its portability which can run on any platforms without any changes. In 2006 Java was released as free and open source software.
