Dry Lining & Plastering Training Forum

The Dry Lining & Plastering Training Forum (DLPTF) exists to support National Dry Lining & Plastering Companies (including walls, floors, ceilings insulation & steel frame system organisations) Our aim is to identify individual company needs, seek to understand, facilitate & deliver a quality bespoke service for interior fit sector specialists. Established in 2012 as a not for profit body & funded through annual membership fees. The DLPTF is supported by the CITB and the FIS. It is governed by an elected committee & operations are overseen by a dedicated Training Officer, serving nationally. Members share learning & development experience with others in the sector, gaining access & funding to sector specific & commercially necessary training, through expertise that is not available anywhere else in the marketplace. The CITB have ring-fenced funding to the forum since January 2012. Furthermore the DLPTF anticipates additional funding for the ‘Training Strategy’ which will support Apprenticeships, Specialist Upskilling Programme, (SUP’s) Training & On Site Assessment Training. (OSAT) Our diverse membership includes companies from: • Dry Liners • Plasterers • Insulation • Steel Frame Systems • Associations As a Collective Organisation the forum operates to; • Identify needs led training • Organise, coordinate and attend training • Create opportunities to develop relevant training programmes • Raising awareness of good practice • Encourage appropriate apprenticeships • Ensure industry education links • Raise the image of the sector nationally The DLPTF Team supports members by: • Assisting in Training Need Analysis and Training Plans • Offer guidance on funding & grant availability • Sign posting and referral to training opportunities • Sourcing Needs Led Training • Communicating with CITB regarding the industry training needs • Makes links between members to solve problems and share best practice
