About DM THERMOFORMER

Set up by Packaging Engineers with over three decades of cumulative experience in Plastic Product design, Tooling, material selection and Thermoforming. The factory is conveniently located along the Chennai-Bangalore highway. We are easily reachable from Sriperumbudur, Orgadam, Sricity, Hosur industrial belt. DMT believes in empowerment of people to drive innovation. Continuous improvement will be achieved through data driven decisions. THERMOFORMING: We use fully mechanized continuous production method which can deliver up to 1 lakh normal size (about 200 x 150 x 40 mm) in a day. The plastic sheet in roll form is loaded to the machine, which gets the required heat from the PLC controlled oven, before reaching the forming station. At the forming station the plastic sheet take the shape of the blisters. This is followed by on line trimming of parts and packing to the shipping cartons. Thermoformed Plastic Packaging: Blister packaging is manufactured by molding heated plastic sheets to the desired shapes using molds which are made to suit the specific requirement of part fitment. The plastic sheets can be of varieties of properties. It can be transparent offering high visibility of product on the shelf to brightly color. Packaging for electronic components use plastic sheet with anti static or ESD properties to protect them from damaging electro-static discharge. Food packaging uses plastic that can withstand very hot temperature of a microwave or very low temperature of a freezer. Packaging for machined automobile components are grease and impact resistant. Depending on the shape and application the packaging can be Blisters, Clamshells and Trays Advantages in Tooling: It takes about a month to make a thermoforming tool and cost between Rs One lakh to 3 Lakhs. This cost and lead time is about one tenth that of injection molding.
