Our Graphic Design & Illustration with Graphic Design courses work closely together, allowing students to build a range of skills and core knowledge. With shared studios and module specific teaching, we pride ourselves on our supportive and diverse community of creative students. Our Graphic Design course has a strong focus on developing typography and layout skills, in combination with a range of digital and analogue processes. We nurture student individuality and encourage innovative approaches to graphic design. Students are supported with their development of an individual design practice, and are encouraged to critically and creatively explore contemporary visual language. The Illustration with Graphic Design course is structured to broaden image-making, design, and illustration skills, helping develop and refine a unique visual voice. Students engage in a wide variety of projects across digital, motion, and print platforms, providing a collaborative environment where creativity and talent can thrive. Our facilities are designed to support student development, with dedicated studios that include video and photography suites, digital design spaces, print and production labs, and printmaking workshops. Students gain the practical experience needed to build a strong portfolio of work and pursue a career in a range of creative industries. The programmes emphasise the development of essential skills in research, analysis, design criticality and production. Our teaching staff include practicing designers and illustrators, with industry connections that allow students to work on professional projects with a range of clients.
