DNG has been active in the business development and technology space for more than 30 years which means we’ve borne witness to the many and often dramatic changes in the business landscape over that time. We’ve used this experience to successfully support the growth of a wide range of clients across significantly diverse industries. In doing this, we learned the value of approaching information and cyber security from the organisational perspective rather than simply turning to basic security tools and assuming they can resolve all manner of technical vulnerabilities. Taking this approach also allows us to work alongside and support an organisation’s existing IT service providers while remaining, for the most part, ‘technology agnostic’. We use the Essential Eight framework as a starting point as it provides a comprehensive approach to information and cyber security. In addition to the eight key mitigation strategies, the multi-level maturity model provides scope to apply basic, enhanced and advanced protection depending on an organisation’s needs and budget. But Essential Eight is just a starting point. By partnering with DNG our clients adopt and continuously improve this foundation while developing other strategies that can go well beyond Essential Eight. In doing so, they recognise that keeping their organisations safe while meeting and exceeding the regulatory requirements for information and cyber security will never be a “set and forget” proposition.
