Based in Stavanger, DNO Norge is a growth-oriented oil and gas company focused on mature established areas in Norway and the United Kingdom. The company has built an extensive portfolio of exploration licenses through licensing rounds, farm-ins and asset transactions. In addition, the company is an owner in assets in the development and production phases. DNO Norge AS is a subsidiary of DNO ASA, Norway’s oldest oil and gas company. Founded by a group of young, adventurous shipowners and industrial leaders in 1971 and later listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, DNO ASA today holds stakes in onshore and offshore licenses at various stages of exploration, development and production in the Middle East, the North Sea and West Africa. Since the start, DNO has continued to attract the type of people who are willing to take chances, venturing into new activities and new geographic areas, both onshore and offshore. A global mindset characterizes the company. Following forays into the Norwegian and UK sectors of the North Sea and later East and West Africa, DNO evolved into a significant Middle East player. In 2017, DNO ASA re-entered the Norwegian continental shelf through the acquisition of Origo Exploration. Through the 2019 acquisition of Faroe Petroleum, DNO ASA accessed a fully operating North Sea organization in Stavanger with activities in Norway, the UK and the Netherlands, forming the basis of DNO Norge today.
