DoCoMoMo Curaçao

Welcome on DoCoMoMo Curacao LinkedIn page. We aim to enhance the DOcumentation and COnservation of the MOdern MOvement in Curaçao. Docomomo International's working party on the island of Curacao consists of a group of volunteers with knowledge of and enthusiasm for the Modern Movement. To promote public interest in the Modern Movement they organize lectures and walking tours and initiate advocacy efforts to protect endangered sites and buildings. Committed to the principle that modern design merits the attention and preservation received by earlier periods, they maintain a continuous and constructive dialogue with national, state and local preservation authorities and organizations as well as with owners, developers, and designers in many disciplines. The Modern Movement is a style of architecture that has been of enormous significance in Europe between 1925 and 1965. DoCoMoMo is also active on Curacao.
