Doctors Worldwide is a specialist medical charity based in Manchester, with sister branches in Turkey, Pakistan and the US.
We believe that everyone has the right to good health, regardless of their income, place of birth or ethnic background. Since 2000, we have undertaken numerous medical projects in Asia and in Africa. This includes rehabilitation of failing health centres, building and running our own clinics in rural areas, providing safe delivery centres for pregnant women and developing training programmes for healthcare workers in the UK and overseas.
We have responded to a number of emergencies, including floods in Pakistan, an earthquake in Kashmir and a tsunami in Sri Lanka. By working with local organisations, we are able to build capacity, empower communities and create sustainable change.
