We connect people to outstanding documentaries, animated films and XR works for an entire week every autumn. Next up: 28 Oct – 3 Nov 2024. DOK Leipzig is the oldest festival for documentary and animation film in the world and unique in offering this combination. It is guided by the values of diversity, human dignity, inclusion and peace. The festival presents about 200 artistically outstanding, socially relevant films, XR experiences and provides space for dialogue and debate. The extended reality exhibition DOK Neuland enriches the film programme with a range of immersive works. Each year this creates a world where visitors can experience profound stories in unexpected virtual spaces. Our film branch networking programme DOK Industry is tailor-made for accredited trade visitors (filmmakers, XR creatives, producers, editors, decision makers and distributors). The platform welcomes some 1,600 guests every year and offers them a meeting place in an environment conducive to productivity.
