Domaine la Barroche has been passed from generation to generation since the XIVth century. This family passion is for the good things in life – the love of simple, honest pleasures.
Domaine la Barroche consists of 15 hectares of vines mainly situated in the north and north-eastern parts of the appellation
The vines are grown on a yellow-red sand and red sandstone terroir, resulting in elegant, silky wines. A limestone subsoil, meanwhile, lends minerality, salinity, and tension.
This patchwork of terroirs constitutes a huge advantage for La Barroche, the grape varieties express their unique characteristics, which are also reflected in the resulting wines. Here, freshness, finesse, and power are perfectly balanced.
Close-knit siblings Julien and Laetitia Barrot arrived in the early 2000s, and began to carve out the future direction of the estate.
They represent a new, committed generation of winemakers open to using modern techniques, while remaining respectful of the terroir and traditions passed on from previous generations.
