Richard : A wine family since 1892
Henri Richard, the founder, started his wine career at age 22. He rapidly developed the family business in the 1930s: Vins Richard was born! As wine blenders, the Richard family members were also pioneers in bottling wine for Parisian bistrots and restaurants, a rare practice at the time. This naturally lead them to explore the rich viticultural regions across France, on the look out for talented winemakers, historical architectural treasures and unique terroirs. Since their first acquisition in the 1950s, Domaines Richard have grown steadily and today represent over 600 hectares dotted around three emblematic wine regions: Rhône, Beaujolais and Bordeaux.
