Domos Structural is the 2015 rebranding of the Domos Consultant Engineers consultancy firm, and the Heraklion based civil engineering office founded in 1977 by Nikos Petromichelakis. Our company primarily focuses on structural and geotechnical analysis of structures and infrastructure projects with emphasis to seismic design. We have contributed to the development of large scale projects, of both public and private interest, as well as, to the rehabilitation design of existing structures and historical monuments all around Greece.
In the period 1995-2006, Nikos Petromichelakis became a founding member and a key partner of the engineering consultancy company “Domos Consultant Engineers” together with the civil engineers Christos Vachliotis and Christos Papadopoulos. This company, holds a “degree for design of public works” of grade D in the categories “Structural” and “Geotechnical”. Since 2015, civil engineers Stavros Petromichelakis and Ioannis Petromichelakis joined the workforce of our company.
During its long lasting period of activity, the company completed a plethora of important structural and geotechnical analysis/design projects on behalf of public and private organizations, among which, projects related to the 2004 Athens Olympic games, construction of Egnatia Odos, and the expansion of Piraeus port. The company’s work, as well as, scientific papers of its partners have been presented in greek and international conferences and published in prestigious technical journals.
