Doncaster Knights Foundation is a charitable foundation established to benefit and serve the community which surrounds our club, the Doncaster Knights Rugby Football Club based at Castle Park.
At its core, Doncaster in Union (DIU) aims to utilise its professional resources to promote good physical and mental health through rugby union, focusing on those in more underprivileged locations. Whilst our program is at an early stage of development in terms of reaching goals, we hope the Knights brand will come to be recognised as a force for positive change in the community.
Endorsing sport and in particular rugby and its basic values of respect, teamwork and fellowship, DIU sets out to encourage inclusivity and participation at all levels.
It is hoped that, over time, we will come to identify the most pressing issues affecting those under-resourced areas of our community and act to overcome the obstacles to participation.
We believe in working in, and with, our local communities and are committed to ensuring they thrive. We hope that by contributing resources through the foundation and listening to members of the community throughout the process, we will be able to strengthen local ties and promote Doncaster Knights as welcoming and recognised pillar of the community.
