Vicki Wilson, President & Founder started roasting in 1993 in a 2,000 sq. ft. facility. Coming from the corporate world as a buyer (Ben Franklin & Shopko), she took a risk with her two young boys and began her dream: roasting top-quality coffee. Roasting in the morning and delivering in the afternoon – she found that there was increasing demand from consumers for quality coffee, at an affordable-luxury price and growth ensued. Fast forward to 2022… the building is a little bigger (20X+ the size) and more employees were added including: her husband (Doug), her son (Doug JR.), her second son (Conrad) and her daughter-in-law (Amanda). Through nearly 30 years of roasting and distributing – Door County Coffee has not only survived but thrived through tough times, but thrived.
