CFOC-Doors of Compassion

As a registered non-profit with charitable status, Christian Faith Outreach Centre’s Doors of Compassion transforms lives and impacts communities by creating spaces of dignity and respect. Utilizing trauma-informed and person-centred approaches, CFOC-DOC is committed to providing comprehensive support to those experiencing homelessness, poverty, or food insecurity. CFOC-DOC is Durham’s largest emergency shelter provider with two locations in Ajax and one in Whitby. Alongside its shelter program, CFOC-DOC operates a service hub and food bank, ensuring comprehensive, wrap-around supports are always accessible. Through collaboration and innovation, CFOC-DOC works towards reducing stigma and fear, promoting understanding, and fostering a community where everyone has the opportunity to achieve independent stabilization.
