Dos Perros

Dos Perros began as an homage to a cuisine that helped shape owner Charlie Deal’s childhood — traditional Mexican, thoughtfully prepared with authentic ingredients and bold flavors. Growing up in California, he fell in love with real Mexican food, and wanted to bring a slightly upscale version of that to Durham. Over the years since, Charlie and his chefs continue to honor the diverse heritage of Mexican cuisine with classic dishes made using traditional techniques and ingredients. But you’ll also find new interpretations of those classics, incorporating more fresh, local ingredients, and also responding to a growing demand for vegetarian and vegan dishes. So when you visit us at Dos Perros, expect some familiar favorites; but be on the lookout for a few surprises, too. Welcome, bienvenidos, and buen provecho!
