We focus mainly on guided and self-guided sea kayaking adventures in the Saint Anna & Gryt archipelagoes. On the horizon we're expanding to deep forest cross-country skiing and Nordic skating tours in the Dalarna region in winter.
Our goal is to inspire people to spend more time in nature and offer a way to experience Sweden’s beautiful wilderness in a sustainable, responsible way.
Our guests are international visitors who are intrigued by the ability to move and camp so freely in the outdoors, and appreciate having all the logistics and knowledge that go into preparing for this type of adventure provided. They also feel secure that we provide top quality equipment maintained to the highest standards. They are often professionals who live in cities, with an interest in being active in the nature. Not necessarily kayaking, often hiking, cycling, canoeing etc.
Saint Anna & Gryt is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Nowhere in Europe can you find six thousand islands and islets clustered so closely together with wild camping permitted anywhere. Although almost all the islands are wild and uninhabited, the area also has a very interesting archipelago culture with locals living year-round or staying for the summer. The history of fishermen, farmers and seafarers surviving out here for centuries is visible in many places. Kayaking in the area is a blend of wilderness and culture, and it’s completely up to our guests what they choose to explore. They can visit villages on the islands, farmsteads and climb hills with navigation marks dating back hundreds of years. The mainland hubs are a flurry of activity during peak season. Or they can choose complete solitude, thousands of uninhabited islands and islets, and often not see anyone else for days, or if they do, far in the distance.
