Douglas & Sons (Pvt) Ltd started its commercial operations as a company importing Auto Parts in July 1986, with their registered office and showroom at No. 221, Panchikawatte Road, Colombo 10, Sri Lanka. In 1988 they diversified operations to import and distribute Tyres, and Batteries too, in addition to Auto Parts. During 1991, they commenced the operation of manufacturing Soft Toys for export as an approved BOI enterprise. Popularly known as DSL among the trade partners and customers, Douglas & Sons (Pvt) Ltd is the founder member company of DSL Group of Companies. DSL moved to their modern corporate office complex at 290/25, Sri Sangaraja Mawatha, Colombo 10 in 2008.
