Down North Foundation

Our Mission: The Down North Foundation (DNF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit working to reconstruct relationships, culture, and places to create a resilient and empowered community as a way to counteract the impact of systems that compound the marginalization of people. Our Vision: We believe change is rooted in community and requires imagination and reconstruction. We anchor ourselves in one fundamental vision: the creation of safe, inclusive community-centered places, plot by plot. We embody and are guided by these core values: empowerment, team work, care, consistency, and collective responsibility. Our values remind us to be intentional and ensure we center and take care of our community and ourselves. These values are central to how we live, learn, work, create, and recreate.
