Group loans-for Small to Medium enterprises(SMEs),tuck-shop owners and micro-entrepreneurs.The minimum number of group members is 3 and 5 is the maximum.These are short-term loans that are repaid daily,weekly and monthly depending on the nature of business with a maximum tenure period of 3 months.These loans are meant to be used for funding already existing businesses (working capital loans) and are mainly for increasing or boosting stock for your business
Salary based loans-offered to civil servants(SSB loans) and employees from the private sector that work in stable companies.These are also known as pay-day loans.The loans are repaid monthly either by direct bank deduction,stop orders or through special arrangements made between Down To Earth and the employer concerned.Maximum tenure period is 6 months
Green loans-we also fund people who want to install solar systems into their homes(solar panels,solar lights,solar geysers).We found out that most people are living in areas where there is no electricity hence we came up with this product to target these people who live in urban areas.This also helps in home improvement
Educational Loans-we found out that getting to university is a challenge for most students in developing countries and hence we have student loans that we offer at affordable interest rates.We realised that not having access to funds should not be the reason why one cannot get to be a graduate.We finance the student upto the end of the degree program being studied.These loans covers all tertiary institutions in Zimbabwe.
