DownRiver Ice Cream

DownRiver is bounded on two sides by the Castleneck river - a tidal river that ebbs and flows through the Great Marsh. Come, relax, pull up an Adirondack chair or grab a seat in the pergola by the garden. Take a break from busy and enjoy ice cream the way it used to be - as old-fashioned as a skiff on the river. You can see us at work; crafting our ice cream using a proprietary mix formula that includes only five ingredients: Cream, milk solids, pure cane sugar, a very small amount of corn syrup solids - which give our product its "chew", and an even smaller amount of Guar as a natural stabilizer. Out of respect for the dietary requirements of our kosher customers, we no longer use gelatin. We are proud to be a staple summer spot for residents on the North Shore and a must-visit for newcomers.
