Laws require violence to enforce. Thus, regulations of all types can be dangerous to individual conscience and happiness. Downsize DC seeks to restrict government to defensive purposes (i.e., criminal justice). “Good intentions” just aren't enough to justify political proposals. Our core value is the Zero Aggression Principle: "Don’t aggress against others personally or politically." Daily, we help more than 30,000 people to instruct their so-called "representatives" in SUPPORT of legislation that reduces aggressive or excessive force, or in OPPOSITION to legislation that retains or increases aggressive violence.
