DOY Design is a design company with an aviation and automotive pedigree based in Warwickshire, England. Our focus is to develop ground-breaking, sustainably-led products and solutions that make a tangible difference to people’s lives. Doy Design’s founder, Gary Doy, is an accomplished industrial designer and entrepreneur with a career spanning over 35 years and several design patents to his name. In 1997, Gary co-founded luxury transport design consultancy, Design Q, following his experience as an interior and exterior designer at Jaguar Cars. Gary was the driving force behind the launch of Pitch Aircraft Seating in 2010, which was at the forefront of innovating economy cabin seating for the commercial aviation industry. Having delivered two certified seat models to the market, in collaboration with sustainable materials experts, Gary developed a pioneering concept for a fully sustainable, ultra-lightweight aircraft seat for single-aisle aircraft. Gary has extensive experience in the automotive and aviation sectors, from OEM production projects to special vehicles and aftermarket modifications. His ability to work with and understand customer requirements along with his technical knowledge allow him to translate their vision into ground-breaking products with a strong emotional context. We are based in Coventry, England, just 25 minutes from Birmingham International Airport and 60 minutes by train from central London.
