Dr. Smoller holds membership in the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Ambulatory Pediatrics Association, the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, Autism Speaks, CHADD, and Autism NJ. She is a board member of Jaden's Voice, a nonprofit advocacy organization for individuals diagnosed with autism and their families. She received the Pediatric Academic Society Travel Award in 2008. Her research on behavioral and developmental disorders has been published in both the United States and Canada. She was voted a Jersey Choice Top Doctor by New Jersey Monthly Magazine in 2014, 2015, and 2016. She was also named Castle Connolly's Regional Top Doctors of 2013 and Castle Connolly's Top Doctors: New York Metro Area of 2015.
