Dr. Y Manohar Ph.D He possesses both Technical B.E (in three disciplines Metallurgy, Chemical, and Industrial Engg) and Managerial qualifications, PGDPM with a Ph.D. from Andhra University. Obtained Gold medal from VRCE, Nagpur University in 1971 in Metallurgical engineering. A Fellow of ISTD. Completed 13 (thirteen) 4 to 8 weeks Coursera certificate courses from reputed universities across the globe during the Pandemic times. An executive coach, Motivational speaker, Mentor, and industry consultant. Started career as a lecturer at REC (Now NIT) Warangal in the Metallurgical Engg. Deptt. Worked in GOI Steel plants of SAIL (a Maharatna) and RINL/ Vizag Steel, (a Navaratna) CPSU for more than 35 years before superannuating as its Director (HR) and Board Member (President of India appointee). Led the various intricate operations of HR capital of talent management, strategic planning, culture building, designing and evolving systems and procedures for 3.0mT and also for the expansion to 6.3mT capacity Steel Plant. Worked for the manpower planning and training of the following: • Manpower planning during the stabilization phase of Rourkela Steel Plant. • Manpower planning during the initial DPR phase of Vizag Steel Plant (VSP) 3 mT stage. • Manpower planning during the CRDPR and Rationalised DPR stages of VSP. • Manpower planning during the expansion of VSP to 6.3mT Stage. • Manpower Planning Coaching and Mentoring at M/S MPL group of Industries at Hyderabad. Developed effective strategies for addressing the issues arising out of land acquisition and displaced persons. Registered 6-million-man days of training, developed more than 200 SOPs and SMPs for key areas of the Integrated Steel Plant. Served as National President of ISTD, (2009-10) (A National, Professional body for furtherance of Training and Development across the country) in New Delhi and Executive member of IFTDO (International Federation of Training and Development Organizations)
