Drand

drand (pronounced *DEE-rand*, short for ‘distributed randomness’) is open source software that powers a threshold crypto network operated by a consortium of 20+ different international organizations called the League of Entropy (LoE). drand provides publicly verifiable, unpredictable, bias-resistant randomness values, along with other key features such as distributed key generation (DKG) management, timelock encryption, and more! - several cryptographic infrastructure primitives that have a myriad of uses, both individually and in concert with one another as part of composable applications. The drand 'mainnet' provides publicly available randomness values every 30 seconds. There is a new 'quicknet' that provides randomness every 3 seconds.
