Inspired by Project Drawdown, Drawdown Switzerland was founded in 2018 as a grassroots movement of concerned citizens to help scale up science-based sustainable & biodiverse climate solutions through individual and organisational action.
Drawdown Switzerland is a membership based organisation that was launched in November 2018 with the first ever Drawdown conference at a school featuring Swiss Nobel laureate Professor Jacques Dubochet and Chad Frischmann from Project Drawdown. The conference was held at the International School of Geneva.
In 2020 Drawdown Switzterland will lend its support to Drawdown Campus (a climate neutrality tool kit for campus based organizations ) and The Drawdown Investor (helping investors use climate solutions as an investment framework).
You do not have to live in Switzerland to become a member but the events we hold take place in Switzerland, some of which may be webcast. Members are invited to mention Drawdown Switzerland membership on their linkedin profiles.
