Our vision is to unlock private capital for Community-owned renewable energy projects as a cornerstone of Indigenous energy autonomy and development ambitions, while working closely with Communities to align priorities and maximize positive impact. DSi’s impact private equity and debt products deploys private capital at the very early stages of project development to optimize project design and ensure clean energy solutions that address specific local needs. It leverages favourable financial structures to design high-impact projects that address societal challenges while also providing competitive financial returns. We work with carefully selected strategic partners to maximize the value of projects and are always looking to hear from Indigenous communities and project developers looking to build sustainable energy projects. Typical medium-scale community energy projects can often comprise a deeply integrated, yet heterogeneous mix of technologies including different generating technologies, energy storage, micro-grid technologies and energy management systems.
