Nationally acclaimed, celebrity Chef David Burke is making waves at the iconic Jersey Shore with two beachfront restaurants - DRIFTHOUSE by David Burke (open year round to the public) and Nauti Bar by David Burke (open October – May to the public), both are located steps from the ocean surf at Driftwood Cabana Club, owned by the Stavola family since 1957. “I always imagined that no matter where in the world my culinary adventures and successes led me, I would someday return to my roots here at the Jersey Shore,” said Chef Burke. “I am a Shore boy at heart, as a teen I was a lifeguard at this very beach!” Drifthouse features Chef Burke’s innovative and creative Modern American cuisine at the elegant, beach-casual, full-service restaurant. The oceanfront restaurant with stunning views of the ocean and sunsets over the Shrewsbury River, was named “Best New Restaurant” by NJ Monthly and Star Ledger. Inspired by his maritime site, Chef Burke installed custom-made lobster and oyster saltwater tanks, serving the freshest seafood to be found anywhere! The menu also features Chef Burke’s signature dishes, his patented Salt Dry-aged Prime Steaks, vegetarian dishes, seasonal desserts, premium wines from the world’s most notable wine regions, artisan cocktails and local craft beers. During the warmer seasons an outdoor dining deck is available to enjoy Chef’s Burke’s world-class menu while taking in the sights and sounds of the ocean. Drifthouse is open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday and Sunday Brunch. Happy Hour daily. Nauti Bar, located directly on the beach only steps from the pounding surf, is open every day except Tuesday from October through May. (During the summer months the beach bar returns to the exclusive use for the members of Driftwood Cabana Club) and serves Burke’s specially crafted and fun beach bar menu with local oysters, dry-aged burgers, pizzas baked in the bar’s own wood oven, salads, premiere wines, local craft beers, artisan cocktails and more.
