Drive Forward Initiative (DFI)

As skilled volunteers, we drive the needy to thrive in combating poverty, hunger, inequality and climate change by crowdfunding skills, resources and education for the needy in unserved and underserved African rural communities to build their own livelihood. We empower the vulnerable persons in the communities we serve to ensure their voices are heard in the political processes. At Drive Forward Initiative (DFI), we believe that development should be bottom-up. We disagree with the view and activities of some charity actors or stakeholders that free food should be given to poor working population in vulnerable rural communities instead of initiating programs/training or set up platforms through which they can get empowered and self-reliant. The great minds behind DFI are humans like you, but the difference might be their perception of social, political and economic realities, efforts towards learning more and passion towards using their skilled manpower, resources and work experiences in making great impacts across the communities we serve. At DFI, we are drawn to the hardship in the vulnerable rural communities in Africa and work towards promoting their development through integration of innovative technology in sustainable and regenerative agriculture programs, quality Social and Financial Education Programs, entrepreneurial and market-focused vocational skills development, creating wealth from climate action, partnership, Social and Financial Education Programs (SFEPs), business and career mentorship and policy advocacy.
