These platforms have had a direct impact on mental health worldwide and have even been linked to violent uprisings and genocide. The negative impacts of technology have become unacceptable. Tech companies now have a massively oversized influence on the world and must conduct themselves responsibly and with integrity. Tech companies that do not act in the interest of the greater common good should take accountability for their mistakes and be held responsible by the communities they harm. Droplet's primary mission, therefore, is to make any impact possible to steer away from a technopoly dominated by surveillance capitalism towards a more humane era of technology.
