About Drug Hunter | Europol-Awarded Portable Drug Detection for On-Site Use
Drug Hunter addresses the shortcomings of current testing methods by integrating capillary electrophoresis, ultrasensitive deep UV fluorescence, and machine learning-based expert systems. Our vision is to see Drug Hunter used by every traffic police unit and by companies facing drug abuse-related safety risks, such as those employing heavy machinery operators and vehicle drivers. Our journey began in 2015 at Tallinn University of Technology, in collaboration with the Estonian Ministry of the Interior. The Estonian police have been actively involved since the project's inception. In 2021, the three women scientists and entrepreneurs behind this groundbreaking R&D founded SafePAS Ltd to complete the final stages of development and bring the technology to market.
