The purpose of the Down Syndrome Association of South Texas is to empower and support individuals with Down syndrome and their families in order to help them find access to resources, be engaged in their community, and progress toward self-actualization.
The mission of the Down Syndrome Association of South Texas is to provide lifelong services and support to children and adults with Down syndrome and their families in South Texas in order to optimize well-being, develop rewarding relationships, and foster inclusion in the community.
Every child and adult with Down syndrome in South Texas, along with their family, will inclusively participate in the community, be supported on their journey, and embrace opportunities to help themselves and others, with or without Down syndrome, live a better life.
