CEN DSRC is the radio signal in transport used for transactions that matter. Transactions that carry legal significance or payment transactions. In the EU DSRC is used to enforce laws on drive and rest times for truckers, protecting working conditions, assuring road safety and competition rules. It is also used for enforcing weights & dimensions of trucks, improving road safety and assuring fair competition. DSRC is used to authenticate payment transactions in road charging, as well as enforcement, no matter the localisation technology. In Europe between around 90.000 km of roads are charged electronically. Millions of pieces of on-board equipment are in circulation in the EU. CEN DSRC is a European standard and a successful European export. It used for road charging world-wide.
