Dublin Robotics Boosters

Dublin Robotics Boosters company information, Employees & Contact Information

Dublin Robotics Boosters exists to make the mission of FIRST accessible to as many students as possible within Dublin City Schools through fundraising, hosting events, raising awareness, and other supporting activities. The mission of FIRST is to provide life-changing robotics programs that give young people the skills, confidence, and resilience to build a better world. The Dublin Robotics Boosters supports programs for FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics. These programs include one FIRST Robotics Competition team for all three Dublin High Schools, and FIRST LEGO League Challenge teams for grades 4 through 8. The Dublin Robotics program began with one high school robotics team in 2002 with 25 students under the direction of Greg King. This team, Bad Robots 1014, is still going strong, having recently won the Engineering Inspiration award at the Smokey Mountain Regional. This award allowed Bad Robots to participate in the FIRST World Championship in 2024. In 2007 a pilot program for the elementary schools began with 45 students and four elementary schools participating in FIRST LEGO League. Our program has expanded significantly since then. This year we anticipate sponsoring 11 FIRST LEGO League teams from 8 Dublin elementary schools and 5 middle schools.
