Dufatanye Organization began as an association in 2003 and in 2015 it became a non-governmental organization, under the law (No. 20/200 on the 26th July 2000) which governs all the non-profit organizations in Rwanda.
Initiated by 7 Rwandans who are the founding members, it is their vision to help people affected by HIV/AIDS, malnutrition and family conflicts in the world.
Dufatanye was created to help restore hope to disadvantaged members of communities through kitchen gardens, improved food and good agricultural practices, as well as capacity building through socio-economic activities.
Dufatanye, which means "Join Together", collaborates with other individuals and organizations to bring this vision to reality.
In December 2016, Dufatanye Organization was legally registered with the Rwanda Government Board and received it's permanent certificate (N0. 451/RGB/NGO/LP/03/2019.
