Mid-America’s multimodal gateway to the world, Duluth, Minnesota, is home to Duluth Cargo Connect. Each season, more than 35 million tons of commodities transit the Port, making it the largest tonnage port on the Great Lakes and one of the United States’ top 20. The Port offers global ship service through the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway, plus a free-flowing interstate highway and direct Class 1 rail service throughout North America. Duluth Cargo Connect is the multimodal hub of that activity, providing comprehensive, efficient services to customers worldwide. Through its exemplary efforts, Duluth Cargo Connect helped Duluth become a two-time winner of the Railroad Industrial Clearance Association Port of the Year Award in recognition for its heavy lift performance.
