Durham University Mathematical Problem Solving Society (DUMPSS)

If you are a creative thinker or are in University to meet people with a unique approach to their learning, this society is perfect for you! The purpose of our society is to create a community (discord link below) of people who love problem-solving. While our focus is on mathematics and logic-based problem-solving, we have done our best to be as accommodating as possible for people of any mathematical background. We plan to achieve this by doing the following: Weekly sessions focused on general problem-solving for people of any ability (Tuesday evenings) Organise and host STEM-related competitions Weekly sessions to help prepare for the competitions mentioned above (Sunday afternoons) The weekly sessions primarily function as a way to meet fellow creative thinkers and have fun while working through brain teasers and puzzles.
