Centre for Forensic Medicine & Dentistry

For over thirty years the Centre has been providing degree courses in forensic medicine and odontology to students from across the globe. In addition to providing optional teaching modules to our University’s medical, dental and law students, we offer an intercalated Bachelor of Medical Science in Forensic Medicine for medical and dental undergraduates. For dental graduates we offer a range of forensic odontology courses, which include a one-year Master of Forensic Dentistry, a two-year Master of Forensic Odontology and a research Doctorate in Forensic Odontology. The Centre is committed to the delivery of high quality educational courses and to capacity building in the fields of forensic medicine and dentistry through the hosting of students and professionals from around the world. We have an established history of collaboration with a network of partners on local, national and international academic projects and through our research work we continue to contribute to greater knowledge and understanding in these specialist fields. Our staff also have an active interest in the application of forensic medicine and dental practice in support of human rights and have teaching, research and international service commitments in a range of forensic humanitarian fields.
